GoToWebinar Integration

Setup instructions for GoToWebinar meetings in Prosperity LMS

With Prosperity’s GoToWebinar integration, you can save more than half the work of setting up a GoToWebinar (GTW) session as a class in Prosperity. Here’s how:

  1. First, setup is needed behind the scenes. Please provide your Ziiva project consultant with the GTW username and password for each GTW organizer you would like to set up. Each organizer account must have the ability to create GTW meetings. You will receive a Leader Code for each organizer.
  1. You only need to set up a GTW classroom once in Prosperity, then you can use it each time you schedule a new GTW webinar. If you have multiple GTW organizers, you can set up a classroom for each one. To set up a GTW classroom:
  1. Using the ILT module, click Classrooms and create a new online classroom as usual (or edit an existing one if you prefer).
  1. For Meeting Room URL, enter gotowebinar.cfm
  1. For Leader Code, enter the leader code your Ziiva project consultant gave you for this organizer after setup. It will start with “gotowebinar account”.
  1. Now, each time you want to set up a GTW class:
  2. Create the class as usual, but leave Class ID blank. This will be filled in automatically when the GoToWebinar session is created by Prosperity.
  3. Choose the appropriate GoToWebinar classroom (depending on the organizer) from the dropdown list as your classroom for this class. Use the rest of the fields as usual and save.

Attending the Webinar

To attend the webinar from the Prosperity student portal, the student clicks the “Click Here to Attend Class” link from the Course Details page as outlined in red below:

Important note: This currently works only with GoToWebinar, not GoToMeeting or any other online web meeting platform. For those, just set up your online meeting using your GoToMeeting or other online platform organizer account on that platform. Then set up your classroom and class as usual in Prosperity, entering the meeting URL provided to you by the meeting software when creating the online classroom.
