Processing Payments through Prosperity

Setup and testing of payment processing for ecommerce in Prosperity LMS

In order to process payments through Prosperity, you will need to configure the following:

  • Merchant Account – This is set up between you and your bank. It’s where the money is deposited from an online payment.
  • Payment Gateway – This is a service that you purchase that enables Prosperity to send money to your merchant account. Once you have signed up for a particular gateway, you will populate the relevant information in Prosperity.
  • Prosperity portal configuration – this is where you will connect the gateway and the merchant account to your Prosperity system, as well as configure any special behavior for your shopping cart.
  • Testing! Payment processing is not complete until you have tested a transaction and verified it has gone through your gateway and into your merchant account.

Set Up Merchant Account

Contact your bank to set up a merchant account. You will be given identification credentials which you will use to set up your payment gateway and Prosperity.

Set Up Payment Gateway

You need to select and sign up for a payment gateway service, that will then be connected to your merchant account. The table below shows the gateways we currently integrate with, as well as the information you will need from your merchant and gateway accounts to configure Prosperity.
